Changing the name on an NEC DSX telephone

These instructions will allow you to change the telephone extension name on your NEC DSX telephone system. These instructions will apply to both the NEC DSX 34 button and NEC DSX 22 button phones. You will need to perform the following steps on each telephone you wish to change.

Step 1: Press the button under the work MENU on your display

Step 2: Press the button under the word MORE until you see the word NAME on the display, Press the key under NAME

Step 3: Enter your name using the Keypad, use the volume up key to move the cursor if needed, Pres HOLD when Finished

Step 4: Press Speaker

NOTE: if you are using extension 300, after you press the key under NAME (step 2) you will have to enter the extension number you wish to program then press HOLD.

At this point go to step 3.
